PERDIKA

Just a 5-minute walk from the villas, you will find yourself in the square of semi-mountainous Perdika in Thesprotia (formerly known as Arpitsa until 1926). It is the largest village in the western part of Thesprotia, and it bears its current name because its shape resembles a flying partridge. It has a population of approximately 2,000 permanent residents, and it’s worth noting that its only settlement is Arilla.

One of its great advantages is that it combines perfectly both mountains and the sea. Therefore, it is a destination suitable for both summer vacations and winter getaways. It is worth visiting because its natural landscapes are unique, its history and monuments are unquestionably admirable, and its beaches could be described as a “gift” from the Ionian Sea.

SIVOTA

Just a 10-minute drive away, you will find a beautiful seaside village in southwestern Thesprotia, built on a small and secluded bay (with approximately 900 inhabitants). Many have even described it as a seaside “paradise” since its lush green landscape harmoniously blends with the blue of the sea. The stunning scattered islets (referred to as the “Syvota Islands” according to Thucydides) remind us, or rather have nothing to envy, similar enchanting areas. The beauty of its organized beaches is unparalleled, with their crystal-clear and azure waters.

A great advantage of the village is that one can enjoy food, coffee, or drinks overlooking the marina and the Ionian Sea. Therefore, we are talking about the most cosmopolitan summer destination of the prefecture and beyond.

PARGA

Approximately 15-minute distance from the villas, you will discover the picturesque town of Parga. It is one of the most famous tourist destinations, and rightfully so, as its amphitheater-like shape, beautiful traditional alleys, and the Venetian castle on top make it unique throughout Greece.

Many visitors of Parga feel like they are on a picturesque Greek island. The enchanting harbor harmoniously blends with the scattered islets, many of which feature beautiful churches. Moreover, it is an ideal destination for both the stunning surrounding beaches and the wide variety of traditional fish taverns and cafes found everywhere.

KARAVOSTASI

Just a 5-minute drive away, you will find Karavostasi Beach. It is a particularly large organized beach with white sand and crystal-clear, refreshing waters that deepen abruptly, making it mainly preferred by adults. It is no coincidence that many associate Perdika with the image of this specific beach. It boasts a stunning landscape, which is why it has been chosen several times as a filming location for movies and advertisements.

At Karavostasi, you will find sunbeds and umbrellas for relaxation, as well as beach bars and taverns where you can enjoy coffee, food, or snacks.

ARILLA

Arilla Beach is just a 5-minute drive away. It is a sandy, well-organized beach with clear waters. It is particularly suitable for families with children as it is shallow. The beach is surrounded by a picturesque landscape, further enhanced by the presence of a harbor for boats, where many visitors stop and enjoy the beach.

At this particular beach, you will find sunbeds with full service (coffee, snacks, beach games), as well as various taverns serving fresh fish. Access to the beach is easy and it is very accessible, with ample parking space.

AGIA PARASKEVI

On the way to Syvota and about an 8-minute drive away, another one of Perdika’s famous beaches stands out.

The beach of Agia Paraskevi is a stunning beach with pebbles and small rocks, nestled in the middle of a lush green landscape. Right across from it, there is a verdant islet. Of course, one can visit it by swimming. It is rarely wavy, and at the beginning of the beach, you will find the chapel of Agia Paraskevi.

It is particularly well-organized with various beach bars, where you can enjoy snacks, drinks, or coffee.

ANCIENT ELINA

Dymokastro (Twin Castle) or Ancient Elina is located 8 kilometers southwest of Parga, right above Karavostasi Beach.
It is a fortified coastal settlement covering an area of 220 acres that flourished during the Hellenistic period. When referring to this acropolis, we are essentially talking about the ancient city of Elina.

It is worth visiting and exploring the archaeological site, despite the relatively difficult path that starts from Karavostasi. However, the new asphalt road provides much easier access to visitors. The unique and enchanting view of the Ionian Sea, the Paxi islands, and Corfu from the archaeological site is sure to reward you.
